The main speaker will be Professor Gang Shen. Professor Shen will be speaking on new developments with sequential aligners. He is a world-renowned orthodontist who has previously been a Professor at the University of Sydney. He would be the most influential orthodontist in all of China.
Professor Gang Shen is now Professor and Ph.D Supervisor of Wuhan University Dentistry College, Director of Shanghai Tai Kang ByBo Dental Hospital, Executive President of TaiKang ByBo Dental Corporation China, and R&D Chief Scientist of Smartee Dento-Technology Co.,Ltd, China.
Prof Shen’s research interests include biological and biomolecular response of bone junctions in craniofacial regions to external forces, TMJ adaptation in response to mandibular forward positioning, biological mechanisms of phenotypic conversion of chondrocytes during the transition from cartilage to bone, and the innovative work on development of clear orthopaedic appliances including clear S8-SGTB and S8-SGHB.
Professor Shen will be presenting the following topics:
- S8-SGTB correcting severe Class II jaw discrepancy caused by mandibular physiological retrusion
- A new diagnostic classification system for malocclusions with facial convexity
- S8-SGHB correcting severe Class II jaw discrepancy caused by mandibular pathological retrusion.
