Every year the ASO recognises those whose achievements and contributions have had a profound impact on the Society and profession.
The Society’s most prestigious Award for meritorious achievement in one or more areas of orthodontic endeavor including teaching, research, clinical expertise and technique development, and fostering the objectives of the Society as listed in the Constitution. An extended period of commitment to the Society especially in various official positions within the Society and/or its state branches shall also be considered. Recipients are honoured at the general meeting of the Society, or at such other time as Council sees fit.
Awarded to non-members for meritorious achievement in one or more areas of orthodontic endeavor including teaching, research, clinical expertise and technique development, and fostering the objectives of the Society as listed in the Constitution. An extended period of commitment to the Society shall also be considered. Recipients shall be honored by presentation of the Award at the general meeting of the Society, or at such other time as Council sees fit.
Awarded to a member of the Society aged 38 years or less, for meritorious contribution to the ASO and/or orthodontics and the community fostering the objectives of the Society as listed in the Constitution. It may also consider commitment to the Society especially in official positions within the Society and/or its State Branches. Recipients shall be honored by presentation of the award at the general meeting of the Society, or at such other time as Council sees fit.
A person may become an Honorary Life Member of the Society in recognition of long or outstanding service to the Society by a resolution of members.
